Backups, health and the Operations page

Hosted instances take a verified daily backup with an off-site copy; the Operations page shows the last one, the disk, the database check and the warnings.

Steps

  1. Open Admin, Operations. In the app: /admin/ops
  2. Read the warnings at the top first; each says what to do.
  3. Run backup now before a big change, and keep the yearly restore drill in your calendar; hosted customers get it done for them.

  • Set up email from your own domain Password resets, approval notices and the weekly digest are sent from the mail server you enter, so they come from your domain.
  • Your name, logo and colors The product name, short name, logo and colors print on the pages and the documents; the organization's legal name prints on the manual and every record.
  • Security settings and the event log Require two-step by role, see failed sign ins and lockouts, review who can sign, and read the security event log.
  • Change your plan The Plan page shows what you pay for and what you use. An upgrade, another station or the library add-on takes effect within a minute; a lower plan waits for the renewal date.
