Plans

All plans include every program type, white label branding for your shop, updates, and help with setup. Prices are per station per month, in US dollars.

What counts as a station: each shop you add to the Shop registry in True North, whether it is a repair station, an operator's maintenance base, a flight department, or a maintenance shop without an air agency certificate. People are not counted. More about stations

Hosting

Two ways to run it

Self hosted

On your own infrastructure

Runs on your own server or in your own Azure or AWS account. Records and the audit log stay in storage you control.

  • Installers for Windows Server and Ubuntu, and guides for Azure and AWS
  • You control updates, encryption at rest, and backups
  • Can be installed in an environment your organization has approved for export controlled data
Hosted

We run it for you

A dedicated instance for your organization that we set up, update, back up, and keep online.

  • No servers for your team to manage
  • Never a shared multi tenant database
  • Move to self hosted later with the same data

Hosting, data, and export

Self hosted or hosted: what is the difference?

The software is the same. Self hosted runs on your own server or in your own Azure or AWS account; your team handles HTTPS, disk encryption, operating system patches, and off site copies of backups, and we supply the deployment guides. Hosted means we run a dedicated instance for your organization, apply updates, take daily backups, and keep it online. Prices are the same either way.

Who owns the data?

You do, in both cases. Training records, binder PDFs, uploaded documents, and the audit log belong to your organization. A hosted instance holds only your organization's data and is never shared with another customer.

How do we get our data out?

At any time. Binders and the Training Record Summary export as PDF. The qualification matrix, credentials, hazard log, initial training, security events, and access reviews export as CSV. The read API returns employees, items, qualifications, credentials, records, and safety reports as JSON. The backup tool writes the whole data directory into one archive with a SHA-256 manifest you can verify.

What happens if we stop using True North?

You keep everything. Take the backup archive and the PDF binders; records issued in True North remain valid records of training that was approved on the day it was signed. Keep them for as long as 14 CFR 145.163(c) and your manual require.

What counts as a station?

Each shop you add to the Shop registry in True North counts as one station: a Part 145 repair station, a Part 135 operator's maintenance base, a Part 91 flight department, a maintenance shop without an air agency certificate, or an AS9100 or AS9110 organization. People, aircraft types, lessons, and records are not counted, so the price does not climb as you hire. Each plan is sized for the stations it is meant for: up to 50 people per station on Shop, 150 on Station, 300 on Network. A larger station runs on its own hosting at a quoted price, so one busy station never slows another.

Can a Shop plan add the Training Library?

Yes. Every plan includes the open safety set, 15 courses on housekeeping, FOD and tool control, airfield safety and everyday OSHA topics. The full library of 141 courses is included with Station and Network. On Shop it is an add-on at $200 per station per month, which brings Shop to the Station price, so most shops that want the library simply take Station.

Can we try it before we pay?

Yes, twice over. A private demo station with sample people and records is open to anyone. When you order a hosted plan you can start with a 30 day pilot: your own hosted True North is set up at once on the plan you chose, nothing is charged until the pilot ends, and if you end it before then from the Plan page in True North nothing is charged at all and you receive a backup of what you entered.

Can we change plans later?

Yes. Moving up a plan, adding a station or adding the Training Library is done from Admin, Plan in True North: you see the new price first, the difference for the rest of the billing period is charged prorated to the day, and the new plan is on within a minute. A lower plan or fewer stations takes effect at your renewal date.

Can we bring records from our current system?

Yes. The CSV import recognizes common column names, previews every row, and writes nothing until you confirm. Imported records name who entered them and print names without electronic signatures.
